Alpha Lipon by BioProphyl: 300 mg Pure R-Alpha-Lipoic Acid
Alpha-lipoic acid, also called thioctic acid, is a sulfur-containing substance and a true all-rounder. Chemically, it is a fatty acid that, together with the antioxidants vitamin C, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, and glutathione, belongs to the large antioxidant network.
Our liver can produce alpha-lipoic acid in small amounts itself from a fatty acid and the sulfur-containing amino acid cysteine. However, the amounts synthesized are so small that daily supply must mainly come from the diet.
Alpha Lipon by BioProphyl combines R-alpha-lipoic acid with natural vitamin E, which contributes to protecting cells from oxidative stress, and the B vitamin niacin, which is involved in the energy metabolism and supports the normal function of the nervous system.

Alpha-lipoic acid is available in two different forms: the natural R-form and the synthetic S-form. The R-form naturally occurs in food and is also produced by our body. While numerous positive effects on metabolism have been proven for the R-form, the S-form lacks these properties and even seems to inhibit the effects of the R-form.
BioProphyl Alpha Lipon contains only 300 mg of pure R-Alpha-Lipoic Acid, which is the active form for our body. This is effectively complemented with natural, antioxidant Vitamin E and the B-vitamin Niacin.
We mix the three raw materials and fill them into plant-based capsules using bamboo extract rich in silica. This results in a 100% vegan and allergen-free product suitable for consumption by all groups of people.
Consumption recommendation
Take 1 capsule daily with some liquid 30 minutes before meals or two hours after meals.
