Finding the right MSM dosage: What to watch for
The dosage depends on your needs. If you want to replenish your sulfur levels, smaller amounts are already sufficient. With an increased need, the MSM dosage also increases. In both cases, you should start with a small amount and increase it to the desired dosage over the course of about two weeks. MSM is suitable as a permanent daily supplement or for use in cycles. The latter should last at least three months to achieve the desired effect.
When and how should you take MSM?
For a lasting effect, you should incorporate MSM into your daily routine. Ideally, take MSM either in the morning, half an hour before breakfast, or in the evening before dinner to improve absorption in the intestines. If you have a sensitive stomach, you can also take MSM directly with a meal.
Make the most of MSM: Find the right form for you
MSM is available in various forms: as powder, tablets, or capsules. We believe MSM capsules are the perfect choice as they allow precise dosing and avoid unnecessary additives and excipients.
MSM capsules come without additives
MSM capsules are ideal if you want to enjoy the benefits MSM offers. They eliminate the biggest drawback, which is MSM’s unpleasant taste. This way, you can conveniently take your daily dose of MSM. A recommended amount is at least 2,000 mg per day.
Additionally, capsules allow for precise and customized dosing while avoiding unnecessary additives and excipients.
MSM tablets often require binders for compression
MSM tablets, like capsules, allow for precise dosing. However, they often require excipients to ensure they don't break during compression. If you prefer the purest product possible, MSM capsules or powder may be better suited for you.
MSM powder: Accurate dosing can be difficult
MSM powder is the purest form of MSM supplementation, but it comes with a significant disadvantage. We consciously chose against this form because accurate dosing is challenging. Although a measuring spoon can be included, the measurement is still imprecise. Additionally, MSM has a very bitter taste, which many people find unpleasant.
The recommended intake is the same as for capsules and tablets, but the powder must be mixed with liquid before consumption.
Ideal for on the go: MSM spray for topical use
You can apply MSM spray directly to your skin and use it several times a day as needed. It's hard to compare this directly with an oral supplement because the actual MSM absorption through the skin cannot be measured. If you want to cover your daily sulfur needs with MSM, capsules, powder, or tablets are more reliable. However, MSM spray is a good addition for localized, acute use.
Powder, Capsules, Spray, or Tablets: Which MSM Form is Best?
Each MSM form has its advantages and disadvantages. For us, capsules are by far the best choice. They don’t require unnecessary excipients or additives, allow for precise dosing, and eliminate the bitter taste thanks to the capsule shell.
