L-Carnitine Carnipure from Bioprophyl: 500 mg Lonza L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine (from Latin carnis = meat) is a vitamin-like substance that is both obtained through diet and synthesized by the body itself. With a varied mixed diet, around 100 to 300 mg of L-Carnitine are absorbed through food. In comparison, ovo-lacto-vegetarians only consume 15 to 25% of that amount, and vegans just 3 to 10%. The difference between the amount obtained through food and the total requirement for L-Carnitine must be covered by the body’s own synthesis.

We rely on proven quality and use high-grade, original L-Carnitine Carnipure® from Lonza, the world’s leading producer of L-Carnitine, for our L-Carnitine capsules. The L-Carnitine is produced using a patented multi-step process. Thanks to this special production method, 100% pure L-Carnitine can be obtained, the natural and biologically active form of the molecule.
The pure raw material L-Carnitine is highly hygroscopic (water-binding). Therefore, tartaric acid is used to stabilize the powder, resulting in a compound called L-Carnitine tartrate. The pure L-Carnitine content of this compound is about 67%. For this reason, our capsules contain 735 mg of L-Carnitine tartrate to ensure a minimum of 500 mg of pure L-Carnitine per capsule.
Consumption recommendation
Take 1–2 capsules daily with a little liquid during a meal.
