Vegan Omega-3 Source: Algenkraft Capsules for Supporting Healthy Development in Children
The microalga Schizochytrium, which we use for our Algenkraft capsules, provides a natural, high-quality source of omega-3 fatty acids – valuable for the general health and development of children. The alga is rich in docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), two important omega-3 fatty acids that contribute to normal heart function (with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA).
DHA contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes in children (with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA and EPA). Since the brain and retina contain a high proportion of DHA, an adequate intake is particularly beneficial during growth phases. The German Nutrition Society (DGE) therefore recommends the daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA.
Our Algenkraft capsules contain 524 mg of algae oil per capsule, of which 94 mg is EPA and 210 mg is DHA, providing a valuable, vegan alternative for families who wish to avoid fish.

Our microalgae are not obtained from the sea but are sustainably cultivated in protected, stainless steel containers. This method of production conserves valuable resources and the environment, allowing families to rely on a safe and clean source of omega-3 fatty acids.
Cultivation takes place under closed conditions without external environmental influences. Instead of light and CO₂, the algae are given an energy source from sugar and acetic acid. This keeps the algae oil pure and uncontaminated, ideal for adults and children.
Algae Oil Without Iodine – Safe Even for Low-Iodine Diets
Thanks to the controlled environment and special nutrient solutions, our algae do not accumulate iodine. If a small amount is present, it is removed during the processing phase. Algenkraft capsules are therefore safe even for a low-iodine diet and offer parents a reliable omega-3 source for their children.

Each Algae Power capsule contains 524 mg of high-quality oil from the alga Schizochytrium sp., with 210 mg DHA and 94 mg EPA. Gentle processing methods, such as cold filtration, preserve all essential components of the algae, and the standardization of the oil ensures consistent quality and a constant content of omega-3 fatty acids. Natural antioxidants like vitamin E protect the oil from oxidation. The vegan, acid-resistant capsule prevents unpleasant reflux and is particularly well tolerated.
