Maca (Lepidium meyenii walp), is a small root tuber that grows in the wild highlands of the Peruvian Andes. The inhabitants of this region have always valued Maca as a precious food and it still represents an important source of income today.
BIO Maca capsules from BioProphyl contain 500 mg of pure Maca powder and, due to the use of a plant-based cellulose capsule, are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
The powder is made from yellow, red, black, and purple Maca roots in a balanced ratio, thus combining the variety-specific properties into one product. To preserve the valuable ingredients, the roots are dried at a constant temperature of 40 °C. The result is a high-quality Maca powder in raw food quality, which we further process into the BIO Maca capsules.
