120 mg pure OPC: Only what truly belongs is inside
OPCpur consists of pure grape seed extract with 120 mg of pure OPC from the seeds of French wine grapes. By forgoing acerola powder, OPCpur contains no fructose whatsoever and is thus also suitable for persons with fructose intolerance. As with all OPC products, we also use no auxiliary substances in OPCpur. Thus, OPCpur is also suitable for vegans as a purely botanical natural product.
Supplement OPC according to your individual needs
OPC, oligomeric proanthocyanidins, belong to the large group of secondary plant substances. These are produced by plants, for example as defense compounds against herbivores, as pigments, or as growth regulators. A daily intake through diet is considered advisable by professional associations.
Foods that contain OPC include especially fruits and vegetables. Particularly rich in OPC are for example:
Blueberries
Apples
Cranberries
Almonds
Hazelnuts
Cocoa beans
Dark chocolate
OPC was discovered in 1955 by Prof. Dr. Jack Masquelier, who found especially high concentrations in the seeds and skins of wine grapes. However, since these are usually removed or bred out in industrial production processes, taking additional OPC can be particularly useful for humans (see the so-called French Paradox).
Especially when you want to benefit specifically from the effects of a single secondary plant compound, taking it in capsule form is recommended. OPC content in food varies, so you never know exactly how much you're getting. In capsule form, OPC can be precisely dosed and tailored to your individual needs. That way, you always know how much OPC you're consuming daily.
For our products, we use an OPC-rich grape seed extract from France. But especially in the OPC sector, there are major differences in quality. Often, low-quality pomace residues are exported to China, enriched there with cheap peanut polyphenols, re-imported to Germany as "polyphenol-rich grape seed extract", and finally processed into supposed OPC products. Before purchasing, you should therefore check carefully whether the product meets the following criteria.
High-quality OPC: These quality features matter
You want to buy a high-quality OPC product? Then look for the following:
- Origin: Grape seed extract from the seeds of French wine grapes
- Processing: Exclusively in France and Germany
- Transparent labeling: Share of polyphenols and OPC
- No unnecessary auxiliary or additive substances
- Testing: For heavy metals, microorganisms, and pesticide residues
OPCpur meets all these criteria 100% and thus offers a high-quality, safe dietary supplement that reliably supplies your daily dose of OPC.
What makes OPCpur capsules special
OPCpur delivers the full power of grape seeds, because it contains only grape seed extract with 120 mg OPC per capsule. In contrast to OPC120 and OPC240, we deliberately avoid adding acerola powder to OPCpur. As a result, the capsules contain no fructose and are suitable even for those with fructose intolerance.
The differences at a glance:

Each OPCpur capsule contains 240 mg of grape seed extract with a standardized OPC content of 50% = 120 mg. As with all OPC products, we also refrain here from using any auxiliary substances, so you get a 100% natural product.
BioProphyl’s manufacturing process for over 20 years
The OPC is extracted in France using a multi-stage process from grape seeds and then spray-dried without carrier substances. The resulting extract is tested in Germany for possible contamination with heavy metals, microorganisms, and pesticides and is then processed into OPCpur without fillers or auxiliary substances such as magnesium stearate.
